My sister and I had a set lunch at The Bath Priory yesterday - 21 August 2008 - and after reading good reviews were very much looking forward to lunch. We were both disappointed by the food and service. We were never approached during the meal if we would like more bread (although other diners were repeatedly asked) I asked twice and eventually received a slice of sundried tomato bread lacking the sundried tomatoes - although it was still delicious. I had to ask several times for more water and during the meal nobody asked if everything was fine or asked when paying the bill.
The presentation was excellent and the dining room charming.

My husband & I celebrated our 2nd anniversary today with the 3 course Sunday lunch & cannot fault it. The staff were attentive but not intrusive, & the food was absolutely incredible. The beef & the pork crackling were delicious. There was so much attention to detail & presentation, and the amuse bouche sorbet was a lovely touch, as were the petit fours with the coffee. Overall I cannot recommend it highly enough. Well worth the £35 per person, as you get much more than the 3 courses.
