The Dower House @ Royal Crescent

We had lunch at the Dower House as part of the Royal Crescents half day Spa package. We had a main and a dessert and both were superb. The surroundings are also very nice. I would say however, that the service did spoil it a little towards the end. We had pre-ordered and we still had to wait a long time for our main course and in the end we had to request our dessert as everyone was totally ignoring us. When it came to settling the bill we decided the only way to get attention was to get up and start to walk out! A real shame the staff were so disinterested as the food really was lovely.

We dined at the Dower House restaurant on a Saturday evening and found the experience very romantic and had an exceptional meal. A great margharita was mixed for us when we arrived, and the wine waiter was very helpful. My only comment on the service was that it was hard to find when the time came to ask for the bill! This restaurant is ideal for a special occasion.
